Birdlaser Marine

1000mW@1meter

A new era in bird control

Birds cause billions of dollars worth of damage to crops and property each year. Spikes and netting are effective, but are very expensive and detract from the aesthetics of the building. Many other alternatives are not animal-friendly, ineffective, or disruptive to the environment. The innovative Birdlaser technology has proven to be a sustainable and lasting solution to bird problems.

How does Birdlaser work?

All Birdlaser products are equipped with very precise laser optics of 1000mW@1meter which produce a constant green laser beam to project a bright green 520 nm moving laser point. The moving laser point is perceived by birds as a physical object. When the laser beam comes close to birds, they fly away as it is perceived as a bird of prey coming from above.

At sunset and sunrise, dust and fog particles in the air are illuminated by the laser beam, and the entire beam becomes visible. During these periods, the birds perceive the entire beam as a stick, and the entire length of the beam becomes effective.

Birdlaser Marine is built in stainless steel 316L and has a range of 3000 meter the efficiency varies with light and atmospheric conditions. The PTZ is of high quality and manufactured in Italy, the laser optics are manufactured in Norway.

Birdlaser Marine can be supplied with 900mbps 802.11ac WiFi with 3km range, 4G/5G is possible for remote control

II 2D Ex tb IIIC IP68 T80℃ Db

Additional safety is built in for mounting on movable platforms to avoid laser beam exposure on passing ship traffic. The tilt switch works between +/-5 degree with 0,01 degree deviation (9cm@500meter)

Fire and flame detectors sensitivity to 520nm laser light:

UV Sensing:

The detector contains a UV-sensitive sensor that detects ultraviolet radiation in the wavelength range of 180 to 260 nanometers (nm). Flames emit UV radiation during combustion, primarily in the UV-C range (200 to 280 nm) and partially in the UV-B range (280 to 320 nm). To ensure the detector responds specifically to UV radiation emitted by flames, it is equipped with a filter that blocks out most visible light and only allows UV radiation to pass through. This filter helps to reduce false alarms triggered by non-flame sources of UV radiation. As the UV detector works below 300nM wavelength there is no risk of beeing released by 520nm laser beams.

IR Sensing:

The detector’s principle of operation is based on patented IR3 technology. This technology identifies the unique spectral signature that hot CO2 has in the infrared (IR), namely a peak of intensity at wavelengths of 2500–4700nm also far away from the laser beams 520nm. Rosemount use 4500nm wavelength.

Birdlaser features:

Heated housing, wiper both windows, high speed IOT WiFi, optional 5G WiFi router for remote access.

Standard:

230VAC, Network cable.

High gear accuracy provides high safety in the event of wind that can tilt the laser housing up and down. All objects within a distance of 2500 meters will be exposed to the laser beam.

The laser is equipped with protection against corrosion and condensation protection which prevents internal condensation and protects the electronics. The device is IP67 classified and can be used in many areas.

Normally the laser is programmed in a fixed pattern and automaticall scans programmed area. We also have made it ready for Artificial Intelligence with Track&Trace, this function actively chase the birds until they are gone and also avoids people, aircrafts, ships and vehicles.
